Swap in an egg substitute and nobody will ever be able to tell the difference!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Potential Egg Substitutes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-style-tips\">\n<li><strong>Extra Breadcrumbs:<\/strong>\u00a0Breadcrumbs are already found in most meatloaf recipes, but an extra \u00bc cup of them can make up for the loss of one egg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olive Oil:<\/strong>\u00a0Olive oil is far runnier and, naturally, oilier than eggs, so you&#8217;ll want to add one tablespoon at a time until the consistency seems right. Roughly \u00bc cup of olive oil equals one egg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flax Egg:<\/strong>\u00a0Flax egg is made by mixing water and flaxseed meal. The ratio of \u00bc cup water to one tablespoon of flaxseed meal is equivalent to one egg. So to substitute for two eggs in a meatloaf, you&#8217;ll want to mix \u00bd cup of water with 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Egg-Free Meatloaf Recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-style-ingredients\">\n<li>2 pounds ground beef<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup olive oil, \u00bd cup extra breadcrumbs, or \u00bd cup of water mixed with 2 tbsp. flaxseed meal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp. garlic, pressed or minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 medium onion, diced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 tbsp. ketchup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 tbsp. parsley, finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\/4 cup breadcrumbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. basil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. oregano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tsp. paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tsp. pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ketchup Glaze<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-style-ingredients\">\n<li>1 cup ketchup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp. light brown sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. onion powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp. garlic powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0. Grease your loaf pan with cooking spray or a light coating of vegetable oil. In a big bowl, combine all of the meatloaf ingredients, mixing with your hands until it&#8217;s fully combined. Put the meat mixture into the pan and bake for 25 minutes. While the loaf is baking, whisk together the glaze ingredients in a small bowl. After 25 minutes of bake time, pull out the meatloaf and brush the sauce mixture on top, then return the loaf to the oven.
