Almost any kind of beans will work in chili, whether they&#8217;re dried or canned, but the most common are black beans and kidney beans. Try this recipe to make a tasty, bean-y chili!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-style-ingredients\">\n<li>3 tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 lb ground beef<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 1\/2 tbsp chili powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tsp salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 crushed garlic cloves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 1\/2 cups chopped red onions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup chicken broth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29-oz can diced tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>29-oz can tomato sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15-oz can drained black beans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>32-oz can drained kidney beans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 chopped serrano peppers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 1\/2 cups sweet peppers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-style-steps\">\n<li>Put a big pot on the stove and turn the burner to medium. Add the olive oil and garlic to the pot and cook it for about 2 minutes, then add the onions and stir them until they caramelize. This should take about 5 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the ground beef to the pot and stir it around until it&#8217;s cooked through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the kidney beans, black beans, serrano peppers, sweet peppers, chili powder, and cumin to your mixture and combine the ingredients. Once they&#8217;re mixed well, add the can of diced tomatoes, the tomato sauce, the chicken broth, and the salt, pepper, and sugar. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat to low.
